Hungarian Chimney Cake, known as Kürtőskalács, is one of Hungary’s most recognizable sweet street treats. Made from a soft, lightly sweetened yeast dough, it is wrapped around a cylindrical mold, brushed with butter, coated with sugar, and baked until golden and caramelized.
The result is a beautifully crisp outside, a soft and tender interior, and an irresistible aroma of toasted sugar. It is traditionally enjoyed warm and can be finished with cinnamon, walnuts, cocoa, coconut, or other favorite toppings.
