Hungarian Walnut Beigli (Diós Bejgli) is a traditional Hungarian festive pastry, especially popular during Christmas and other family celebrations. It consists of a rich, buttery yeast dough rolled around a sweet walnut filling, then baked until beautifully golden.
The contrast between the tender pastry and the fragrant, nutty filling makes Beigli a cherished part of Hungarian baking. Thinly sliced and served with coffee or tea, it is a delicious treat that looks just as impressive as it tastes.
