
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, eggs, semolina, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes so the semolina can absorb the moisture.
- With slightly wet hands, shape the mixture into small, round dumplings.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a gentle boil. Carefully add the dumplings.
- Cook for about 8–10 minutes. When they float to the surface, continue cooking for another 2–3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet. Add the breadcrumbs and toast over medium heat until golden.
- Stir in the sugar and remove from the heat.
- Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon and gently roll them in the toasted breadcrumbs.
- Serve warm with sour cream and powdered sugar. 🇭🇺❤️
